Business Development Executive (Software Sales)

Organizations everywhere strive to identify best practices and integrate them into their daily operations, but until now, doing so successfully has remained an elusive goal.  SAI recently announced the general availability of its new Acadia™ Performance Platform.  Acadia breaks new ground as a software solution that provides just-in-time training and procedural information to employees, anytime, anywhere, on any web-enabled device and a simple but powerful management tool that allows for continual performance monitoring and improvement.

Following a round of customer feedback during its Early Adopter Program, Acadia is now available as a software-as-a-service (SaaS) application. Given Acadia’s flexibility and functionality, broad demand for the product across a wide variety of industry verticals is anticipated, beginning with the Retail and Health Care sectors and extending into other verticals as the sales team grows.

From our flagship office in Hunt Valley, Maryland and our satellite locations in Nashville and Atlanta, we provide a full spectrum of software products and technology consulting services – from digital strategy and marketing services, web design and development,  packaged software implementation, and IT strategy and operations consulting – all with the goal of helping clients thrive.

You will be working with an experienced team of software and consulting industry professionals as we grow a significant user base among Fortune 500 Commercial and large government customers.

Essential Roles and Responsibilities

  • Identify and align SAI software and solutions with strategic client problems

  • Utilize industry experience to introduce clients to best practice methods, models and techniques for improving business performance

  • Find the power base within the client and focus your strategic selling skills and our resources on landing large SaaS and consulting projects

  • Carefully manages complex sales cycles with discipline  

  • Manage the negotiation of business terms to ensure success for the client and for SAI

  • Develop strategic plans for enterprise software sales targets

Desired Knowledge, Skills and Abilities

  • Demonstrated success selling software and/or services to enterprise clients

  • Respected by prior customers for integrity and predictability; listens to and focuses on customers

  • Self-starter with strong organizational and time management skills, self-directed and able to handle multiple priorities with demanding timeframes

  • Ability to work collaboratively with colleagues and staff to create a high-quality results-driven, team oriented environment

  • A constant learner who is excited by the opportunity to help clients in disparate industries address a wide range of issues

  • Ability to communicate clearly (written and verbal), create and present high value deliverables, proposals and presentations to varying audiences

Required Education and Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Information Technology or commensurate experience

  • At least 10 years of relevant experience selling software with at least five years’ experience selling enterprise applications or tools

  • Preferred location is Hunt Valley Maryland – candidates in Maryland, Virginia, Pennsylvania, Tennessee or Georgia will be reviewed
