Duties: Responsible for managing complex technical projects and process development as part of a global initiative through all phases of product design and launch related to proprietary technology. Plan and implement applied research in the area of Process Technology and be responsible for commercialization of new products. Contribute in technical problem solving for customers, both internally and externally, in process design and development, process analysis and scale-up, materials physical properties and their effects in processing. Analyze and document results, and communicate these results to the technical community and management. Drive the engineering work related to strategic technical projects and programs that make use of proprietary technology. Lead the design and development of processes related to commercialization and manufacturing of products incorporating new technologies. Provide expertise and technical guidance in the area of food engineering and processing to scientists in Product Development as well as to Manufacturing/Supply Chain Engineers. Participate materially with new product commercialization and problem solving in manufacturing. Manage IP for all current projects. Present strategies, progress and products to senior management. Responsible for formulating and defining complex information systems and solutions through technical analysis, technical design, and programming and testing combined with a comprehensive understanding of business systems and technical best practices. Act as first and/or second level contact for the Business Analysts for any inquiries regarding applications or technical support and potential technical solutions. Analyze business requirements and functional specifications to determine effective technical solutions to support the business across multiple entities (divisions, functions, countries). Maintain constant improvement opportunities and appropriately challenge processes to ensure global consistency. Provide knowledge transfer and support to team members (regardless of geographical location) as part of employee on-boarding and training. Formulate system scope and objectives in relation to business and project requirements. Design complex data models and analytics solutions across multiple functions, business units, technical tools and/or systems. Provide post implementation application support and regular system maintenance. Consider trade-offs between application performance, scalability, reliability, availability, maintainability, manageability and business requirements. Serve as a liaison for colleagues operating in our remote locations. Ensure nightly schedule compliance, process guidance and development support for team members. Participate in evaluation of new software and hardware for compatibility with technical landscape. Occasionally function as Team Lead or Project Lead for a phase of a project.
Requirements: Bachelor’s degree in Information Systems, Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field and 5 years of progressive, post-baccalaureate experience in the job offered or related occupation in SAP business warehouse, or any suitable combination of education training or experience. Experience must include: 1) Five years of analytics industry experience, including full life cycle analytics solution delivery, including data acquisition, data architecture, data modeling and end-user analytics. 2) Three years of experience in specifically SAP business warehouse version 7.x configuration and modeling, including business warehouse security design, in-depth information systems concepts, applicable methodologies, tools, standards and procedures. 3) Three years of experience in designing, building and deploying analytics in SAP business warehouse and SAP Enterprise Portal (Business Explorer, Web Query). 4) Two years of Sales and Distribution (SD) analytics experience. 5) Two years of business engagement experience (requirements gathering, testing, user acceptance testing, training and documentation). 6) Two years of experience using SAP Business Objects (Web Intelligence, Analysis for Office). 7) Two years of experience as a Project Lead or Project Manager. 8) One year of experience on projects leveraging agile project concepts and methodologies. 9) Strong verbal and written communication skills. 10) One year of experience as ‘single point of contact’ for remote location development team. 11) Multi-cultural project experience.
